Savage preview

Coming later in the year is the sequel to one of 2004's surprise hits. It's fair to say that expectations of Savage were a little muted, but it was one of the most consistently entertaining series in 2000AD last year, even with all that funking swearing. Charlie Adlard is hard at work on the next series and has kindly given us a preview.

Given that it's still a little way off, and to preserve some of the surprises in the opening episode, we've limited this preview to selected panels only. But trust me, it's all looking damned good so far...

Poll results

The results of our latest poll is in, and by grud it was a close one. We asked:

Who is the best 2000AD villain?

And you said:

Judge Death
(84) 42%
Torquemada
(80) 40%
Maximan
(14) 7%
Nelson B Kreelman
(13) 6%
The Krool
(8) 4%

So the madman with a hatred for life beats the madman with a hatred of aliens. The strong showing of Torquemada proved quite surprising, and leads me to think that some DC reprints of the entire Nemesis run might go down very well indeed (hint, hint).

As for the next poll, those of you keeping an eye on our forum will have seen the early rounds for Best One-off being battled out. The final round has arrived and here's the shortlist thanks to James Mackay:
