Poll results

It's been quite some time since we last update the main 2000AD review poll, but before we go onto the next one - here's what happened last time. We asked:

What 2000AD merchandise would you like to see?

And the results were...

Action Figures (56) 30%
T shirts etc. (47) 25%
Posters (41) 22%
Lego/Kubricks (27) 14%
Statues/Busts (16) 9%

So action figures are the most called for, which will be interesting to Reaction Figures, who had less than stellar success with the last attempt. I guess we're more willing to vote on a poll than with our wallets. Maybe we'll get some more figures in the future - but I wouldn't hold out.

What's perhaps more interesting is the call for posters and t-shirts. We really don't see much of these relatively easy to produce merchandise (and those Dreddcon shirts don't count) so perhaps it's time?

New Poll - Best Artist Ever!

Those of you who frequent the 2000AD Review forum will have seen the early rounds of the "best ever artist" poll. We're down to the final round now - with the main site poll being the venue. Just look over there to the left and cast your vote now!

2000AD Tie ins

Since our last update, the 2000AD PR team seems to have been going at full steam with a number of promotions doing the rounds. Here's a round up of what's been announce recently:

New Foundry figures

BBC Cult Website

2000AD has joined up with the BBC to produce a pretty impressive website devoted to British comics. And pretty impressive it is too, with video interviews, full 2000AD strips and more. Check it out now.

Now if only they could get all the links to work properly...

Judge Dredd: Judgment DayDC Graphic Novels

After the announcement earlier in the year The Batman Dredd collection is the first DC/Rebellion joint venture out of the warehouse in September. Not too far behind, you can expect Sinister Dexter, Devlin Waugh, Red Razors, Judge Dredd: Judgment Day (left) and Nikolai Dante not far behind.

But that's not all! Next year we can expect to see the following:

JANUARY:
Sinister Dexter: Murder 101
ABC Warriors: The Meknificent Seven
Bad Company: Goodbye Krool World

FEBRUARY:
Skizz
Rogue Trooper: The Future of War
Devlin Waugh: Red Tide

MARCH:
Dredd: America
Nikolai Dante - The Great Game
Slaine: Warrior's DAwn

And outside of the DC deal, look out for Wardog, Atavar and Bison coming direct from Rebellion.

In other news, Rebellion have announces that the are to produce a tie in to World War Zero, their recently released PS2 game. The tale, Ironstorm, will appear in a future issue of 2000AD. We don't have a clear date as yet - but expect it soon.
