News Round-Up:
28 September 03
A
year ago today...
Yes, it doesn't
seem like it, but 2000AD Review has been up and running for around a year now
(sorry - no exact date, but it was end Sept/early Oct). The site has continually
evolved, with the recent introduction of the forum, and more importantly, we haven't
missed a weekly review yet...
Over the next year
there will hopefully be some further changes, and look out for more interviews
before Christmas rears its ugly head (it's not that far away now).
Thanks to everyone
for all the support, especially to all the contributors. And don't forget, if
you want to try out this reviewing malarkey, or fancy putting together a feature
or interview, just drop
me a line.
Here's to another
year...
Poll Results
- Chopper for the Dredd Movie
Well
it's about time we changed the poll, so here are the results of the last one.
We asked: What character should make an appearance in the new Dredd movies?
Now before arguing that it should have read "which character..."
here's what your voting said:
| Chopper |
(49) 34% |
| Walter the Wobot |
(33) 23% |
| Orlok |
(25) 17% |
| Judge Cal |
(19) 13% |
| Otto Sump |
(18) 13% |
Despite an early
lead, Walter was knocked out of first place to allow a comfortable win for Chopper.
However, Walter fans can make do with an appearance of the robot with the speech
impediment in the upcoming Dredd game.
The new poll is
up, so get voting!!!
Dredd vs Death in October
These days it wouldn't
be a news piece without a mention of the upcoming game - so here's some. It's
confirmed that the game is officially released on the 17th October - so
we can all make up our minds about it then. Finally.
Also reported,
has been the confirmation that Rebellion are working on a Rogue Trooper
game as their next 2000AD translation. Precious little else is known about the
game yet.
Autumn
Assault coming soon
Is it Autumn already?
Is Summer really over, or is it another false alarm? Well issue 1362 is just around
the corner, when Tharg unleashes all new stories in the Autumn Assault, leading
with a trio of female led stories.

site to learn more.
Robohunter for
2004
Yes, Sam Slade
is back with a twist. Happily this will be produced by the creative team of Grant/Gibson,
so we can expect all the nasty memories of the Millar series to be consigned to
the junkheap. More on this when we have it.
And don't forget
to keep an eye on our coming
soon section for the latest rumours and half-truths about what
to expect in coming issues.

it happens, keep an eye on the forums.
