News Round-Up: 15 August 03

The Dredd vs Death hype begins...

There's been a whole heap of Dredd Vs Death News over the lat few weeks, so here's a quick round up of what's been happening:

Official Dredd vs Death comic on the Game site

We might not be getting anything new in the weekly comic (although the current Death storyline in the Meg is more than making up for that), but there will be a brand new exclusive online Dredd comic coming from Gordon Rennie, Mike Collins and Dylan Teague appearing on the Game UK site. In addition, we can expect plenty of exclusive interviews and the like to accompany the piece.

This sounds very impressive indeed, and a good bit of coverage for the game. Although perhaps someone might want to suggest they get the game on the "coming soon section of the homepage?

Keep an eye out for the 1st part on 15th August, building up to 6 parts over a 4 weekly period, on the Game Site. We'll try to get a direct link up in the forum asap.

2000AD launches Extreme editions

It's been a while since we had any Classic 2000AD reprint comics, so Rebellion are using the opportunity presented by the new game to launch a new quarterly reprint collection. Starting with Dredd vs Death in September, a compendium of never before reprinted Judge Death stories, we can expect 4 of these a year, although future content is yet to be revealed.

Dredd vs Death site launch
It took its time, but the official game site has launched, and it looks pretty damned good indeed. While containing perhaps just a little too much flash/shockwave for my liking, it is clearly an impressive piece of work, and promises to be updated with all manner of goodies over the coming weeks.

Check out the Dredd vs Death official site now!
