I think the best thing that happened to me in 2007 was leaving a crappy dead end job with a nazi boss. In almost joint place was getting myself a nicer motorbike (ZX636 Ninja).

I was devastated at first but if one thing the last six months has taught me is that life moves on and in some cases a major upset can actually change your life for the better.

The best thing that happened to me was whilst on holiday in Florida with the family and inlaws.
I had booked us all on a trip to swim with manatees in their natural environment and it exceeded all my expectations.
I explained to the two dive masters about Sam's autism and they went out of their way to make his day the best day ever. We swam along the river whilst stroking these slow moving creatures while they filmed us and later they even let Sam have a go at piloting the boat. It was more packed out than that but I don't want to bore you all.

I'm a year and a half after that rifht now Merlin.
Horrible and sickening at the time. But certainly the best thing for everyone in the end.

I did the leaving back in 2005 now. Odd how things turn out. Eh. But onwards & upwards. At times it's going to feel awful. It's amazing how many people don't stay married or together.

Maybe I should balance this out with the BEST thing of the title:

Moving home and getting a great new job.
Organising a comic convention- which is both fantastic and horrible at the same time.

I've been married for 12 years now, 13 on Sept 30th. Mind you, this is marriage no2. Marriage no1 lasted only 3 years.

Best thing for me was treating my mum & stepdad to come on holiday with us thereby improving my relationship with them which I'd buggered up a few years ago.

Got pissed and stoned, woke up feeling fantastic, new lease on life, which led me to kicking the drugs and drinking more. Great times I assure you all

Managing to convince a riot van full of coppers (after more pints than I have fingers to count them on) that there was a perfectly legitimate reason why my mate was running full tilt into a bus stop at 1 in the morning and that they could just go about their business without lifting either of us. I felt like Obi Wan Kenobi.

pretty good year overall, seeing my mate in Aus was great but coming top in my Range Course was a personal highlight
