Just a quick note to say that the categories have gone out - so if you're interested in taking part, check your email. Also - if you didn't get the email and fancy taking part, let me know.

Seem to be getting a very low take up on the yearly/decade review this year. If anyone else fancies taking part, can you let me know?

Deadline extended to 29th to anyone who wants to take part. The categories are (do as many or as little as you want):

The 2009 specific (i.e. "of the year") categories are:

* Best Cover (2000AD or Megazine)
* Best Dredd strip (one-offs or series)
* Best Non Dredd strip
* Best Moment

The "of the Decade" categories are

* Best Cover (2000AD or Megazine)
* Best Collection
* Best Merchandise
* Best Moment
* Most Under-rated
* Most Over-rated
* Best Dredd strip (one-offs or series)
* Best Non Dredd strip
* Best Writer
* Best Artist
* Worst Thing about anything 2000AD related
* Best Thing about anything 2000AD related
* What I want to see from 2000AD in the next decade

For each category, I'll need a nomination and a short paragraph/couple of sentences explaining why you chose it.

I think the "decade" categories put some people off - so if you fancy taking part and just want to do "of 2009" awrds for those, that's no problem.

Nominations to gavin.hanly@gmail.com. One contributor will be drawn out of a hat and get a selection of Rebellion books, that I'll freely admit I'm giving away to get some shelf space back...

Hi - just one final plea for end of year/decade reviews. Could really do with a few more. Is anyone up for it?

I'd love to, but my enthusiasm for 2000AD's current output decreased so rapidly this year, I'd struggle to say anything positive other than 'there were some really good graphic novels released, and Dante is always a joy.'

is that enough?

I stayed up and eventually managed to write a few things down for you Gavin. I hope they are okay and not the ramblings of a madman who's laptop crashed once near the end of typing it all down pullhair.gif
