Well I'm sure it'll all be worth the wait soon.

"Dead Eyes - sorry, you've lost me again. 3 characters discuss what happened in the fisrt two episodes. I know, I read them."

Dunno, I'm liking this slow pace and so far this story. All is cool. cool.gif Oughta be good once more is revealed too.

QUOTE(Charles RB @ Mar 26 2008, 03:31 PM) *
This is annoying - Ten-Seconders was one of my favourite strips of 2006 and I was desperate to see it back, but it's not quite working as well as before. I'm not sure what's going on with Malloy & Harris, and the Scientist appears to have changed motivation abruptly. The artist change has also altered the mood and look at the strip, but I presume they didn't have much of a choice here.

Yeah, I'm struggling to see the Scientist's motive in sending not only Malloy and Harris but now Holland and his group to the same location. Right now, I'm thinking the first 10 Seconders was the better but we're only two weeks in with not much explained in detail yet so who knows?

QUOTE(Dark Jimbo @ Mar 26 2008, 09:17 PM) *
Smithy! Bloody hell, where've you been? This board's awfully quiet without you...

That's cause I dunno when to stop talking. laugh.gif Nah, just not been on cause of totally unimportant stomm. biggrin.gif

Got mine on Saturday. biggrin.gif

Quite like the cover of the whole Fargo family. Not bad at all.
Dredd. Well again, still not sure about the bright and cheery art for a story that involves a kidnapping. Good story though. But of course the head in the dumpster's nothing but a dummy. Glad to see the Palace of Boing back though. Too cool.
Savage- Well I've decided from the beginning of this part that Noddy now reminds me of Norman Bates. laugh.gif Obviously he was going to pick up the AA12 (wink.gif a pretty cool shotgun I must say from that video Commando) one way or another but neve would've guessed like that. lostit4.gif
Dead Eyes- Would like to see some action next week although I'm stil pretty interested. Seems cool to me. Last two pages were particularly interesting. Art too is perfect for this story. cool.gif
10 Seconders- Art alot better this week. Second page is sweeeet. And with the return of the Scientist (who looks alot more evil and has a nifty looking hat) a little more is explained, plus a little re-cap from Holland. This part I found more confusing though like what the hell's happening where Malloy and Harris are. wacko.gif Guess we'll find out in due time.
Dante- Not really that interested in this story.

But overrall quite the good prog.

Awesome 2nd list. Can't believe we forgot Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath and Radiohead especially. foolish.gif

Alice Cooper I would have voted on No More Mr. Nice Guy but I think mytwo mates would have voted on School's Out or I'm Eighteen.
Black Sabbath...hmm...for me a tie between Paranoid (it changed rock history) and War Pigs. cool.gif
And as for Radiohead, I think I'll go with what you've got. cool.gif Good choice I must say.

Couple more I forgot:
Bruce Springsteen - The River / Magic / Born In Philadelphia
Fleetwood Mac - Go Your Own Way of course
Kinks - Sunny Afternoon / You Really Got Me
Whitesnake - I like Bad Boys anyway

Well I dunno about other countries but I tell ya, teenagers can't live without music over here. Unfortunately most of these teenagers are all into modern rock and not enough good ol' classic. But me and two good mates (one who can play Free Bird on his guitar cool.gif ) have made this list of the best music out there (we were bored tongue.gif ) and each bands best song in our opinion:

30 Seconds To Mars - From yesterday
AC/DC - It's A Long Way To The Top / Whole Lotta Rosie
Billy Idol - Cradle of Love
Blink 182 - All The Small Things
Bob Marley - No Woman, No Cry / One Love
Bon Jovi - It's My Life
Chuck Berry (who in my opion the greatest guitarist evr) - Well they voted on Johnny B Goode but I chose Reelin' And Rockin'
Coldplay - Fix You
Deep Purple (my favourite classic rock band:D) - Woman From Tokyo / Strange Kind Of Woman
Disturbed - Stricken
Duran Duran - Ordinary World
Eagles - Heatache Tonight
Electric Six - I Buy the Drugs
Elvis - Jailhouse Rock
Evenescence - Cloud Nine / Going Under
Guns 'n' Roses - Civil War / Live And let Die
Johhny Cash - Ring of Fire / A Boy Named Sue
John Lennon - Stand By Me
Kiss - Strutter / God Gave Rock And Roll To You
Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven / Whole Lotta Love
Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff / Take A Look Around
Linkin Park (my fave modern rock band) - Numb / What I've Done
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Free Bird / Sweet Home Alabama
Marilyn Manson - Tainted Love / Rock Is Dead
Meat Loaf - Paradise By The Dashboard Light
Metallica - Enter Sandman / Fuel
Michael Jackson - Billie Jean
Motorhead - Ace of Spades / Eat The Rich
Nickleback - Leader of Men / Hero
Oasis - Little By Little
Paramore - Crush Crush Crush
Pink Floyd (this was a tough one) - Comfortably Numb / Wish You Were Here
Queen - Save Me / We Will rock You
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - under The Bridge
R.E.M - Orange Crush / Man On The Moon
Robert Palmer - Addicted To Love
Rush - Xanadu / Findinh My Way
Santana - Europa / Into The Night
Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun
Stevie Wonder - Superstitious / I Just Called To Say I Love You
System Of A Down - Soldier Side
Tenacious D - Wonder Boy
The Beatles - Hey Jude
The Rolling Stones - Paint It Black
The White Stripes - Icky Thump
The Who (probablly the hardest) - Won't Get Fooled Again / Eminence Front / Behind Blue Eyes
Theory Of A Deadman - Santa Monica / No Surprise
Thin Lizzy - The Boys Are Back In Town
U2- Where The Streets Have No Name
ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man / legs

So that was a waste of a period in English. laugh.gif But hey, our music rocks. cool.gif We rock. tongue.gif If you disagree then graaah!!

Too many. rolleyes.gif

The ending to White Heat I could watch again and again. James Cagney just rocks. "Made it, ma! Top of the world!" BAM! BOOOOOOOM!!! cool.gif
The Psycho shower scene. blink.gif Perhaps the most brilliantly edited scene in movie history. Very good.
Treasure of the Sierra Madre's "Batches? We don't got no batches. We don't need no batches. I don't have to show you any steenking batches!" cool.gif
Se7en's ending of wrath. lostit2.gif He actually did it!
Saving Private Ryan's D-Day beginning scene. Most impressive.
Blade Runner near the end with the blonde guy's speech. cool.gif Now that's classy. biggrin.gif

Hundreds more but those'll do. laugh.gif

Currently reading The Thin Red Line by James Jones. You've probablyy seen the movie but I tell ya now the book's a million times better. It's impressively detailed and interestingly enough relies on animal instincts in certain situations. However, as detailed and interesting as it is, it does have some issues. The main one is that it's very large book but has but eight chapters each with pretty poor paragraphing which can make it difficult to read. There's also like a million characters who can be hard to keep up with. However it remains a strong book and I think I'm going to use it as a personal study in English, probabllt investigating Jones' use of animal feelings and instincts for each character.

Hey all, been a while. biggrin.gif

Okay for starters I agree with EVERYTHING Commando Force just said about Savage. It's crazy but fun so I'm going with it.
Anyway, thought the cover was awesome. Seemed pretty cool looking to me.
Dredd...hmm...well not sure yet. The light-heartiness of the art doesn't fit in well with a kidnapping in my opinion but I do like the art, it's pretty good.
I liked Dead Eyes from the first part. Very interesting plot. Yeah, I'm intrigued. cool.gif The art too rocks ass. It's gritty, dark and for me sets the atmosphere perfectly. Good stuff.
And The Ten Seconders is back. celb.gif Which has been like my favourite story since I started collecting 2000AD the same year it started. Well the plot is a tad confusing but I did remember Willis the moment his name was mentioned. What confused me was who the characters on the last two pages were. biggrin.gif But of course it was Malloy and Harris. Only Malloy looks like Jesus and needs a shave and Harris on the other hand did get a shave. Art wise, I would have preferred the original artist (Mark Harrison...?) but Dom Reardon's art should suit it nicely too. Though the first two pages, nicely drawn yet the colouring of it I didn't like. Same for the next two pages but the last two however were very impressive. I look forward to reading the next part in the prog I got today in the post. biggrin.gif
Finally Dante oughta be good methinks although I'm not really interested with this starter. Art, as usual, is very good.

Oh yeah, saw that too. It is dark as hell at points. Nice opening though and ending. I liked it. Not as good as the first but still pretty nice.

Finished The Regulators ages ago. Highly recommended for SK fans. Currently reading Desperation which is good but not as good as the Regulators. Also reading Jack and Jill, my second James Patterson story based on Alex Cross. Very good indeed.

Finsihed Spear of Destiny. Preety good, not as good as The Culled though. Gets better as it goes along though.

Already halfway through The Regualtor's in 3 days. In-bloody-credible! Really really enjoying this one! Just hope Desperation's as good...

Finished The Culled in Ireland instead actually. You either like it or you hate it. I liked it.
On chapter 11 of Spear of Destiny. Has some good chapters and some bad. Pretty good so far though.

This week's review now up - thanks to Jordan and Marcus.

And note to Smithy - the point of Viktor wasn't supposed to be how interesting he looks, it was supposed to be a moment that made you go - 'Oh my God!! Viktor's still alive?!?!' But I gather from the above posts you haven't been with Dante long enough to even know who Viktor was, so I forgive you. smile.gif

Yeah, well, if I'd known who he was I'd have had a different reaction. I just love cool monsters though. God, i watch too much horror...

Good little cover, better than John Burns' last one anyway.
Dredd drawing quickly to a conclusion but I've gotten bored of it by now.
Savage I have been enjoying but it'd be nice if he took a bullet or two now and then, you know?
Sinister Dexter has been my favourite for weeks. Loved the conclusion.
Terror Talewasn't bad, not sure if the first page without some inking was intentional though. Great third page though.
And Dante is looking good but who the hell is Viktor????
